This is something I am stealing from my sister's page, that I am pretty sure she stole from someone else's page! Anyway...thanks sis for the idea. I love reading hers, it is a good way to find out what is going on in other people's lives in an unconventional way!
OUTSIDE MY WINDOW:
It is pitch black except for the icky snow that is still covering our grass. I am so ready for the snow to be gone and spring to be here...but because I live in Cheney, it could be well into April and May before that happens!
I AM THINKING:
That I can't wait to be living in the Tri-Cities again! It will be a wonderful place to raise Parker and we will finally have family close! Every time I visit, I am reminded how much I love it there. New things are always sprouting up and everything is close! It will be so wonderful for Parker to grow up close to his cousins Caleb and Drayson, especially with Drayson being only 4 months older! My sister and I are hoping that they will be great friends! My sister and I joke that we should buy a big piece of land and build our houses at opposite ends with a swimming pool, play area for the boys, and a shop in the middle! We would save so much money on gas driving back and forth dropping the boys off!!!
I AM THANKFUL FOR:
My amazing family! I have an amazing husband that always makes me smile...I don't know how someone can make you so mad sometimes and still melt your heart all in the same hour! He lends a hand for baby diaper blowouts and making bottles and I love him for it. Trav is the most amazing man and I am so glad that God brought him to me when he did! I am also thankful for Parks. He is the sweetest boy and has the most infectious giggle! My mom and dad are such good influences and I cannot even imagine being raised by more amazing people. They were the type of parents that let you be an individual and raise you to be a responsible adult all at the same time. I never had any secrets from them and always knew that I could talk to them about anything. They are such a blast to be around and always keep me laughing! My sister is one of the best friends I could ever ask for and I am so glad that we have gotten to grow up together. She teaches me new things all the time and she is raising some amazing boys! I always look to her for tips and advise!
FROM THE KITCHEN:
The smell of tacos that we had for dinner. It is our favorite meal and we would eat it all the time if that much red meat was even remotely healthy!!!
I AM WEARING:
My new shirt from Eddie Bauer! Thanks to a gift card from my mother-in-law! I finally have shirts that I can wear and now that I have stopped breast-feeding I can even fit into some of my old bras again! Yay!
I AM CREATING:
Well, nothing at the moment. I just got done making a calendar on Shutterfly for Travis' grandparents (Nan & Pappa) that live in Yuma and aren't able to see the blog and new pictures of Parker. The calendar turned out really cute...I might have to make one for Travis and I with pictures of Parker...it's a thought, we'll see if I have time.
I AM GOING:
Nowhere! Maybe a little crazy being cooped up in the apartment. I wish the snow would melt so I could take walks everyday with Parker. I am sure that Deacon would enjoy it too!
I AM READING:
A Nora Roberts book. Cheezy romance novel, I know, but they are a guilty pleasure. The combination of romance, adventure, and suspense hooks me! I have never been big on sitting down and getting lost in a book like my mom and sister, but the Nora Roberts books are the only ones besides magazines that do the trick!
I AM HOPING:
That Parker will sleep well tonight. He is an amazing sleeper and is now going a constant 10+ hours at night! It is amazing...except this morning he didn't wake up until around 9:30...so we put him to bed an hour earlier tonight. Hopefully we will start our morning a little earlier this way...but I am concerned that I disrupted his night routine and it will throw him off. We may have to endure a little less sleep the next couple days while he adjusts to his last feeding at 8:30 and bedtime at 9:00 rather than last feeding at 9:30 and bed at 10:00.
I AM HEARING:
The History channel in the background. Travis watches it all the time. We end up watching the most random things, but we learned a lot about the Dust Bowl today, as well as volcanoes! Woo-hoo...the exciting life we lead! (You're jealous...I know!)
AROUND THE HOUSE:
Things are organized and clean. I filled in our weekly calendar on the fridge with what's going on this week, vacuumed, did laundry, and sanitized the Parks's bottles today. I usually just wash them after each feeding, but I have decided that a weekly sanitize on top of that is a good idea. I also washed all of his soft rattles he has been chewing on today! All in all, it was a productive day today! It was nice to get some laundry done today and it is nice for Parker to hop in the front-pack to walk down to the laundry room to help Mommy out! (Parker loves the front-pack because he gets to face outward now and check everything out! Thanks Great-Grandpa Frank & Great-Grandma Mary Lou!)
ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS:
Getting to spend the whole day with my boys! Travis has Mondays and Tuesday off of work, so aside from class, we are all able to spend the day together. It is nice to have him here with us. Parker loves to just stare at Daddy and check-out what he's up to!
SOME PLANS FOR THE UPCOMING MONTH:
Our first night out without the baby. My parent's are coming up the weekend on Valentine's Day and are watching Parks while we go out to dinner (that is if Travis gets the night off work). I told him that of all people at his work, he should really be the one to get it off because he has a wife and that should take priority over the others that only have girlfriends/boyfriends! He laughed at me and said that it doesn't quite work that way...well, IT SHOULD!
A PICTURE THOUGHT I AM SHARING:
